This year the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2020 celebrates its 70th anniversary with a very special performance. Returning from the 7th – 29th August 2020 to Edinburgh Castle the Tattoo will present ‘The Platinum Edition’ to celebrate 70 years. The Tattoo offers displays of music, dance and performances by the pipes and drums along with the lone piper, all against the stunning backdrop of Edinburgh Castle.
This year, the world-class event will celebrate its 70th birthday, honouring the traditional anniversary gift for this occasion, under the theme ‘The Platinum Edition’. This year the show will pay homage to the Tattoo’s legacy in Edinburgh over the past 70 years. Each year approximately 220,000 people attend this impressive showcase of military talent. Audiences get into the spirit and stamp and cheer to the sounds of the military pipes and drums, clap to the Highland Dancers and watch in awe at some of the daredevil acts of accomplished motorcyclists or intricate marching formations.
