Terms and Conditions- Le Monde Hotel, Edinburgh

The below detailed terms and conditions apply to all hotel bedroom bookings made with Le Monde
Hotel, Edinburgh, whether via hotels website, direct with hotel or through an agent.

RATES

All rates are inclusive of Service and VAT at the current rate. (Excluding tourist tax)
Best Available Rates are available until the day of arrival. These rates allow you to alter or cancel
your booking up until 12pm 48 hours before arrival without charge. Amendments or cancellations
made after 12pm 48 hours before arrival will incur a 100% charge of the first nights room charge. (Different terms apply for reservations made via agents, no show is full cost of stay) A pre authorisation of a £1 will be charged to credit card at time of booking.

Advance Purchase/ Non Refundable Rates are available 7 days or more before the date of arrival and
are fully prepaid at time of bookings. Advance Purchase Rates are non- refundable and non-transferable.
Promotional and Special Offer Rates a part or full payment will be required to be paid at time of
booking and this payment is non-refundable and non-transferable. Please refer to details on each offer.

For groups of 3 rooms or more (6 people plus) a 25% non-refundable and non-transferable deposit is required to secure
the reservation and the remaining non-refundable and non-transferable balance may be due 4 weeks prior to arrival (Even when booking our Best Available Rates, we do not offer a flexible cancellation to bookings of 3 rooms or more). For peak dates and high value bookings a higher deposit will be required and the final non-refundable and non-transferable balance due 6 to 8 weeks prior to arrival
Individual bookings over the value of £1500 booked on Best Available Rate will be required to pay a 25% non-refundable deposit to secure the bedroom.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If for any reason you cannot make it to stay with us at Le Monde Hotel, you will need to let us know no later than 12pm 48 hours before arrival. If you don’t let us know before this time unfortunately we will have to charge you for the first nights stay. After 12pm 48 hours prior to arrival your booking cannot be amended, transferred or cancelled free of charge.
If you are on Advance purchase rates or promotional rates full prepayment is taken at the time of booking and your prepayment is non-refundable and non-transferable.
If you have booked your bedroom through an Agent the cancellation charges are the same as above however all amendments and cancellations must be processed through your agent, this cannot be done directly with Le Monde Hotel.

ON ARRIVAL

On arrival at Le Monde Hotel please check in at the reception desk where our receptionist will be waiting to welcome you. You will be required to provide a credit card on arrival for an additional extras during your stay and as security for the bedroom along with a form of identification. We also require to see a form of ID on arrival at hotel
We reserve the right to charge your credit or debit card for any damage done to your room during your stay or for any items that are missing when you leave.

Our COVID-19 policy & guidelines

Individual bookings over the value of £1500 booked on Best Available Rate will be required to pay a 25% non-refundable deposit to secure the bedroom.
All guests must be aged 18 years or over to make a booking with us and you must be aged 18 years or over to stay alone. If a guest arrives at the hotel and is under 18 years of age the guest will not be permitted to stay alone. We may require photo identification (a driver’s licence or passport) as
proof of age and if the guest is unable to present this to the satisfaction of the hotel we may terminate your booking without refund.
Our bedroom maximum occupancy is 2 people per room only, children are not permitted to stay in a room by themselves.
While staying at the hotel, hotel guests have complimentary access to Shanghai nightclub located within Le Monde.
Please note Le Monde is located within a lively area of Edinburgh with many popular restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

SMOKING POLICY

Please note all public areas and bedrooms are all non smoking, this policy allows us not only to meet legal requirements, but also to create a comfortable environment for all guests to enjoy.
Should we believe that guests have been smoking in bedrooms or any other part of the hotel, a Smoking Fine of £250.00 will be charged for a deep clean and they will also be asked to leave the premises.

COMPLAINTS OR COMMENTS

Any complaint or comment regarding a stay should be made in the first instance to the hotels duty manager at the time of your stay so that it can be resolved at the time.
